With treatment 70 - 90% of people have a significantly improved quality of life. 14.6% of CT high schoolers had serious thoughts of suicide in the past year. 10.3% of CT 12-17 year olds reported using drugs recently. 1 out of 4 CT college-aged students experienced major psychological distress in the past year. 46.5% of US college students felt hopeless for two weeks or more. 26.5% of CT residents age 12 and up report binge drinking-having 5 or more drinks at a time. 1 in 4 CT highschoolers felt sad or hopeless for two weeks or more in the past year. 8.9% of CT highschoolers report not eating for 24 hours of more because of body image issues.
